Day 1: Start Well

How working relationships begin, which is also where most of them go wrong. Day 1 covers hiring, work trials, onboarding, contracts, and VA rights. Clients and VAs are in the same sessions throughout, hearing the same conversations at the same time.

Sessions on Day 1 cover:

Ethical hiring and what fair treatment looks like before anyone signs anything What a job posting, a screening process, and an intake call signal about who you are as a client, and what VAs should reasonably expect before they agree to work with anyone.
Starting as a VA: what to bring and what clients should provide Identifying your strongest skills, building a portfolio, and setting your opening rate, alongside what a client owes a new VA from day one: a real contract, clear scope, and honest pay from the start.
VA rights and the ILO Platform Work Convention What the new global standard for remote and platform workers means in practice, for VAs and for the clients who need to understand their obligations under it.
Designing paid, fair work trials How to build a trial with a real deliverable, a clear time limit, and a payment structure, so it actually assesses working habits instead of presentation polish.
Building accountability without micromanagement A practical framework for oversight that is agreed on, not imposed, so visibility doesn't come at the cost of trust.
Burnout and boundaries: a shared cost when neither side sets limits Sustainable remote work as a business requirement, not a wellness aspiration. Burnout is a shared cost: VAs who burn out leave, and clients who normalize always-on availability create the conditions that drive them out.
Communication gaps across time zones, cultures, and working styles The patterns behind the most common misreads, and what both sides can do to make the invisible visible before it becomes a problem.

Day 2: Work Well

What happens once the work is underway. Communication gaps, money conversations, scope creep, and what keeps a good working relationship going over time. Day 2 closes with the Virtual Integrity Pledge, taken together by every attendee in the room.

Sessions on Day 2 cover:

AI and the working relationship: what gets automated, and what clients should expect Which tasks are being commoditized, which human capabilities no tool can replicate, and why a VA who understands this distinction becomes more valuable, not less. For clients, a guide to what to expect and invest in as the work changes.
Niching down: how VAs specialize and what clients gain from it How VAs identify their highest-value skill set and price it, and why paying for that specialization is an investment for clients, not a cost increase.
Client and VA pricing: how clients evaluate value and VAs set rates with confidence Value-driven pay as a retention tool, not an expense to minimize, and what both sides need to say when a rate increase comes up. Both sides at the same table.
Setting expectations: the habit that prevents most breakdowns Naming the unspoken agreements around availability, ownership, feedback, and scope, out loud, as an act of trust rather than a sign of distrust.
Ending it properly: offboarding, final pay, and what the law actually requires What a clean offboarding actually requires, and the legal reality both sides are usually vague about when a client in another country doesn't pay.
Retention: what keeps a VA-client relationship working long-term The patterns behind why good VAs stop renewing, and what the client relationships that consistently retain great people actually look like.
The Virtual Integrity Pledge (closing ceremony, all attendees) Every attendee posts a personal commitment live on the Pledge Wall, VAs and clients alike, in front of the same room.

Day 2 includes keynote addresses (15 min), panel discussions (30 min), deep dive sessions (20 min), and a live interactive activity.

Wednesday, November 12

Day 3: Grow Well

Day 3 is entirely Skills Labs. No panels, no talks. You work through AI tools, delegation systems, difficult conversations, 30-day onboarding, and building client and team relationships that last. You leave with output, not just notes.

Day 3 is entirely Skills Labs, no panels, no talks. You work, not watch. Labs run 45 minutes each and cover:

AI tools for VAs: building workflows and automating tasks Hands-on. Automation, prompt engineering, no-code workflows. Attendees build at least one working workflow before the session ends.
Delegation: briefing, handoffs, and follow-through A step-by-step system for writing a brief, defining what done looks like, and building a handoff rhythm that removes the need for constant check-ins.
Communication: feedback, difficult conversations, and expectations Specific language for giving feedback that doesn't put someone on the defensive, naming a problem before it gets worse, and what to say after something goes wrong.
Onboarding: the first 30 days done right The onboarding mistakes that guarantee a slow start, and how to know early whether the relationship is working.
Building unbreakable bonds: six principles for strong client and team relationships How to build, break, and rebuild trust; conflict resolution from a service provider's position; setting boundaries that hold; and choosing fewer, well-matched clients over scaling at all costs.

All Day 3 sessions are 45-minute hands-on Skills Labs. You leave with output, not notes.
